Lanceolate, olive green leaves sport distinct cream or yellow margins. In spring, however, the new growth is flushed pinkish-red, and in fall, it takes on a darker mahogany hue.
In early summer, a profusion of blooms is produced and plants continue to flower sporadically through early fall. The large, daisy-like flowers are golden yellow with a red eye. They blend beautifully with warm colored daylilies and other perennials in pots and flower borders
