Landscape / Shrub Roses(LSP)
This
is a catch-all class whose members do not fit the category of
modern shrub roses. Rugosa roses are the most
popular of the shrub roses.
Bonica Meidiland (LSP): Pink-Pure pink flowers. Glossy deep green foliage. Grows 4 feet high by 4 feet wide. Sweet apple fragrance. Hips in winter.
Pink Knock Out (LSP) Red Shrub: Rose pink to light red single flowers. Blue-green foliage. Medium height. Blackspot resistant. Light fragrance.

Hansa (LSP) Purplish-Red Hybrid Rugosa – Large, double, very fragrant reddish-violet flower. Short, weak stem. Fruit large and red. Vigorous. Free recurrent bloom. Hardy. Medium-tall. Avoid chemical sprays.
Rosa Rugosa (LSP): Pink-Pink large single flowers. Large red rose hips. Very fragrant. Very hardy. Good seaside plant. Tall. Avoid chemical sprays.
Rosa Rugosa Alba / White (LSP): White- White large single flowers. Large red rose hips. Very fragrant. Very hardy. Good seaside plant. Tall. Avoid chemical sprays.
Therese Bugnet (LSP): Pink-Lilac pink rugosa hybrid. Moderate fragrance. Very hardy. Medium-tall. Avoid chemical sprays.
Blushing Knock Out (LSP): Light pink single flowers. Dark green leaves. Low to medium height. Light fragrance.
Carefree Celebration (LSP): Rich orange semi-double flowers. Medium green matte leaves. Grows 4 ½ feet by 4 ½ feet. No fragrance.
Carefree Delight (LSP): Soft Pink Shrub Rose- Glossy, medium green foliage, medium height. Slight fragrance.
Carefree Sunshine (LSP): Clear yellow flowers. Bright green leaves. 3 ½ feet to 4 feet tall. No fragrance.
Carefree Wonder (LSP): Pink-Bright pink with a cream reverse. 20-25 petals. Bright green foliage. Neat self-sustaining rounded habit. Medium-tall. Disease resistant and winter hardy.
Double Knock Out (LSP): Rose pink to light red double flowers. Blue-green leaves. Medium height. No fragrance.
Home Run (LSP): Red single flowers. Medium height. Disease resistant. Light fragrance.
Knock Out (LSP): Red Shrub – Rose pink to light red single flowers. Blue-green foliage. Medium height. Blackspot resistant. Light fragrance.

Miniature Roses (MIN)
Miniature
roses range in height from about 3-18 inches, with the average
being about a foot. They have well-formed
buds and closely spaced foliage are extremely small, the canes
are thin and the plants are very free-flowering and comparatively

Hybrid Tea Roses (HT)
Today, the
hybrid teas are the most popular of all roses. They
also constitute a very large group, and new varieties are constantly
being created. They bloom all season long, from spring
to fall. With their elegant long-stemmed blooms, hybrid
teas are well suited to formal rose gardens, but they also do
nicely as shrubs in less formal settings. (cited:

Fragrant Memory (HT): Pink- Lavender well formed very fragrant blooms. Disease resistant. Formerly called Jadis.
Honor (HT): White- Pure white flowers. 4-5 inches across bloom abundantly on vigorous upright plants both singly and in clusters with cutting length stems. Few thorns. Slight fragrance.
John F. Kennedy (HT): White-Tinted greenish bud. Large, double, high centered fragrant white flower. Leathery foliage. Vigorous. Profuse blooming.
Mister Lincoln (HT): Medium-Red - Large, double. High, centered to cupped and very fragrant dark red flower. Long strong stem. Dull, dark foliage. Very vigorous.
Oklahoma (HT): Dark Red- Large, double, high centered, very fragrant and very dark red flower. Dark and dull foliage. Vigorous. Free bloom.
Olympiad (HT) Red- Official rose of the 1984 Olympics. Abundant brilliant red blooms of classic form are carried on long cutting stems. Vigorous, hardy and disease resistant in hot or cold climates. Light fragrance.
Pascali (HT): White- Medium size, double, well formed and creamy white flower. Strong stem. Dark foliage. Vigorous. Very free bloom. Slight fragrance.
Peace (HT): Yellow Blend- Very large, double, high centered opening cupped flower with slight fragrance. Golden yellow edged with rose pink. Dark flossy foliage. Very vigorous. Profuse bloom.
Sterling Silver (HT): Mauve-Medium, double, high centered to cupped, very fragrant flower of lilac color becoming lighter. Dark glossy foliage. Abundant bloom.
Tropicana (HT): Orange-red with large, double, well-formed and very fragrant flower of coral-orange color. Dark glossy foliage. Vigorous. Very free bloom.
Falling In Love (HT): Hybrid Tea. Medium pink flowers with a porcelain creamy white reverse. Medium-tall, upright and bushy. Strong fragrance.

Climber Roses (CL)
Left
to grow on their own, climbing roses do not actually climb at
all-they lack the tendrils that other climbing plants, such as
vines, use to attach themselves to structures. There
are several different kinds of climbing roses. All climbing
roses have long, supple or sturdy canes that support the growth

Valentine’s Day (CL): Deep velvet red medium-small double flowers. Dark green leaves. Grows 6-10 feet high. Slight fragrance.
Fourth Of July (CL): Red striped white flowers. Dark green glossy foliage. Grows 10-14 feet. Strong fragrance.
Night Owl (CL): Wine purple flowers have a small white eye with yellow stamens. Grey green leaves. Moderate fragrance. Grows 10-14 feet.
